Dear Dr. Obijiofor,

I understand that you live in Australia. I am in Nigeria and the picture you paint is not entirely correct. I have also made some comments on President Goodluck Ebele Jonathan (GEJ). You can read my Blogs here.

You secure a space where to sleep before you spread your Mat. Jega of INEC has asked for time and NASS is taking the flak for not thinking about that. It is better to let Jega take his time, so let NASS work it out. GEJ is asking the people to vote for him in 2011. I would vote for him based on the disappearance of queues at the Filling Stations here in Enugu. There are a lot of underground struggle going on at PHCN and the workers are also flexing their muscles. There are many other issues.

What I am doing is giving GEJ the benefit of the doubt, based on the consolidation moves he made and is still making. You do not rush into battle like Don Quixote. You need to assess your enemy, secure your base, fortify your arsenal, map out your battle plan, mobilize and deploy your resources before you engage the enemy. Otherwise, you may find yourself holding the short end of the stick. There are many barracudas out there waiting for half a chance to pounce.

Let the criticisms continue, to keep GEJ on his toes and spur him to shine his eyes lest he stumbles and falls but let Nigerians be prayerful for, and patient with, this guy because it would be an error of judgment to mistake him for a Bumblebee, which designers originally thought would not be able to fly. My reading is that we are actually dealing with a Chess master. Time will tell...
